It’s probably still good to check through the settings in game after you update. Grab that file (it’s called settings) out of the MCC file and move it in the new folder when you update. You can following all the instructions above whenever a new version comes out – however if you don’t want to redo all your nice mcc settings. You can also type “mc_settings” into the Sims command line which is found via “control-shift-c”. (This is an older shot – it now has Deaderpool’s icon on the option now, but it’s the same thing). There is also an MC Command Menu item when you click on a sim or on a mailbox. Clicking this will get you the menu options.

Click on the PC and you should now see the option for MC Command. Go into the game and into a house with a PC. The discord channel is also great if you are having trouble with this mod. There’s a great troubleshooting document on Deaderpool’s site and if that doesn’t work you can try out his discord channel. There’s a handy popup that appears in your notifications now when you start the game showing all the modules that are installed. You will need to restart the game after this change.

You may need to enable scripts mods if you haven’t already done so – or if the game has been patched recently.Ĭlick on Menu > Game Options > Other and check the option to allow script mods and enable Custom Content and Mods. This allows the game to look four folders deep inside your Mods folder for more packages. On a Windows machine, Notepad will be fine. It might ask you what program to open it with. In your mods folder, right-click on the resource.cfg file and click open.

If this is too much for you – just take all the files out of the folder and put them directly in the Mod folder. If you’re already using folders for your mods, you probably won’t have to do this step. Basically, this will make it so Sims looks IN folders for mods.
#Sims 4 mccc install#
OPTIONAL – You will only need to do this the first time you install MCC. So if you don’t see it either make a blank folders called “Mods” (capital M) or just start up the game for the first time and it’ll show up. The Mods folder will appear after you first play the game. If your game is installed normally, you will find your Mods folder here: My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Put folders in your Mods Folderĭrag the MCCC folder (not the zipped one) into your Sims 4 Mods folder. That will preserve all your nice settings so you don’t have to reconfigure them every time. If you’re updating MCCC – grab the mc_settings.cfg file from your previous install and add that to this folder. Just drop those two items into the AllModules file so you only deal with one mod folder. The Whoohooer zip has only two files in it. If you click to open the new file you will see all the files inside. By default, Windows unzipper will create folders next to the zipped file. If you have an unzip program installed you might have more options.
On a PC you should be able to do this by right clicking on the file and clicking “Extract All.” It’ll extract the file to a folder with the same name as the zip file. Unzip the fileįind out where you downloaded it to and unzip the file. Unless you’re using the Legacy version of Sims 4 – then you must only use version 6.6.0 – but at least you won’t have to update? 2. There’s no guarantee things will work if you’re not. Make sure you’re always using the latest version of MCCC and most up to date Sims 4. The second is MCWhoohoo and affects the pregnancy and relationships of your played sims. The first is the majority of the modules zipped together. Scroll down the page to the “Download here” section. Download at MC Command Center Deaderpool’s site.
